At MAC Renovations, we’re pretty big on building effective teams, with everyone working together towards a common goal. After a conversation with Matt Atkinson, defenseman on the Shamrocks Tier 1 Junior B roster, we knew that sponsoring him was the right thing to do: not only to support him on his journey of becoming a professional athlete but also to recognize his understanding of the power of team.

“This is my sixth year of lacrosse,” shared Matt. “I love playing on the Shamrocks because it’s a really good group of guys playing great lacrosse. We’re competitive and we push each other, and I think that’s the key to success in all team sports.”

MAC proudly supports a variety of different teams and players. “We’ve sponsored local kids in football, baseball, hockey, and basketball,” said Blaise McDonald, owner and operations manager at MAC Renovations. “It’s not just about giving back to the community – it’s about making sure the next generation understands the importance of working on a team, where everyone contributes to the goal.”

The MAC sponsorship will help Matt focus on his development in the Shamrocks program. “I’m hoping to be one of the pros in lacrosse, playing in the National Lacrosse League and helping to build support for the sport,” said Matt. “The guys I follow, they’re not necessarily the best in the game, but they are the guys working hard with camps for kids. Giving back to the community is a big thing for me, and I’m looking forward to sharing my love for lacrosse with future athletes across the country. I’m really grateful to MAC Renovations for helping me stay in the game.”

We love Matt’s passion for the game, raw talent, and abundance of team spirit. His star is clearly rising, and we’re happy to be part of his success.

Come out and cheer for Matt Atkinson – #5 – at an upcoming Shamrocks game at the Q Centre in the Westshore.
